Varta LA60 is a maintenance-free starter battery with AGM technology. AGM stands for Absorbent Glass Mat and is a manufacturing technology where the battery's electrolyte is sealed in glass fiber fabric. AGM batteries have approximately 3-5 times better cycling resistance, much higher charge receptivity and superior vibration resistance compared to standard liquid batteries. AGM batteries are often used in vehicles with advanced Start-stop systems and are also excellent for vehicles with many and demanding electrical consumers such as diesel heaters.

The cycling resistance means that Varta LA60 is also often used as consumer batteries. The fast charging capability means that they work well together with solar cells.

Varta LA60 uses the patented manufacturing technology Powerframe, developed by Johnson Controls. Powerframe means optimal current conductivity and superior durability. In addition, Powerframe technology makes manufacturing 20 percent more energy efficient and produces 20 percent less greenhouse gases than other manufacturing technologies.

Varta LA60 is a good replacement for batteries with the designation: S5A05, D52, 56001, TK600, YBX9027, 75060, AG60.

Varta LA60 belongs to size group L2, H5, UK027. It is one of the most common battery sizes and fits in many car models, not least from Volvo and VW.
