Smart design that makes a difference
MAD PB2-46 is cleverly designed! The outer dimensions of the MAD PB2 series have been increased slightly compared to its little brother MAD PB1. GAS has therefore tuned the boxes deeper to attract even more midbass - something that is guaranteed to be appreciated. It doesn't really end there. On the sides of the plank you will find a port that guarantees optimal sound pressure. Do you want to place the rack plank on or near a bass box? Place the two included MDF pieces and cover the port. This makes the board closed and better integrated with a bass box,
Four heavy 6.5" midbass!
Ready for a bang? With the PM2-64, GAS has learned from both the PSM64 and its little brother, the MAD PM1-64. The resonance frequency is an impressive 90 Hz! The design from the PM1 series is quite different. You will find a black coated paper cone that is really durable - and delivers great sound! The polypropylene dust cap has been upgraded, with a nicely stamped GAS logo. The basket has also been improved and is now adorned with black textured paint. For those of you who plan to add more speakers - or tweeters - there is now a convenient flat pin connection.
Two really cocky tweeters
MAD PT2-254 is equipped with a copper short-circuit ring that provides improved sound properties, lower distortion and contributes to a much smoother frequency curve. This results in a good-sounding tweeter, which despite its size can deliver a big sound! GAS has used the little brother PT1-254's wave-shaped dispersion lens for better sound and directionality properties. It clearly sounds better than its predecessors, while the sound is spread better. You can be sure that your sound will reach even more ears and make an even greater impression. With the smart cable connection, you don't have to worry about a protruding terminal, the installation is smooth and easy.
New smart terminals
Like the MAD PB1, you will also find the new AST terminal, an active smart terminal, which allows you to bypass the built-in crossover filter and makes it possible to connect two separate power stages: one that drives the midbass and one that drives the tweeters. Connecting this way gives you greater control over the crossover while ensuring that each element receives enough power.
