The foam material has been shown to absorb 3 times more sound than other similar materials and begins to absorb sound frequencies already below 100Hz, which means that this product should be a must-have in all cars where you want to achieve maximum sound absorption.
The material is primarily intended to prevent rattling of plastic parts and reduce the transmission of road noise, which means that your car will be as quiet as possible and that no external noise will affect your sound experience.
Sound Absorber's pressure-sensitive properties make it perfect for use between panels in the car, as the material can be compressed during application and then expanded to fill the gaps between the surfaces, which means that the absorption is optimal. The material is extremely easy to work with and is applied with the self-adhesive back on the large surfaces in, for example, a door or trunk lid.
The material has the shape of an egg carton on the surface, which means that 30-40% more sound is absorbed than regular material.
Sound Absorber can also be used behind speakers or inside a subwoofer as a diffuser (A diffuser is a hard reflective surface that spreads the returning sound in time. As opposed to a flat surface where all sound is reflected back to the listener at the same time).
For best effect, first apply Silent Coat Vibrodamping to give (e.g.) the door stability, then apply the Sound Absorber mat to absorb the vibrations and sounds that occur in the car.
