The MAX S1 series replaces the popular GPP series, where the goal of the new basses is to constantly test the limits of what a woofer is capable of. GAS has peppered the new series with innovative design choices. Among other things, the rigid cone is made of unpressed paper with mica minerals to better balance power, weight and musicality.

Made to move

You may recognize the dust cover, it is partly borrowed from the little brother MAD S2. It is made of injection-molded polypropylene, IMPP, with a stylish 3D design that stands out. With the MAX series, GAS takes the design to a new smart level to a new level with a really durable rubber suspension with double stitching that is made to move. The back plate has also been extended to allow the voice coil to move further in the magnet gap and thus provide a longer Xmax for longer travel. This minimizes the risk of the voice coil being damaged during extreme movements. This is a bass that can handle really hard bass swing!

World-class cooling

A bass that performs at the highest level and sounds absolutely amazing requires really good cooling. Only the best will do! GAS has chosen to use a thicker top and back plate together with what is called DVS2 (Dual Ventilation System), a new cooling system for a more prosperous bass with reduced distortion and increased heat dissipation.

Heavy, heavier, MAX S1

Awesome cooling, double-stacked 100oz magnets and double nomex spindles mean one thing: insanely much power in a 12” bass. The size makes it easy to throw in double MAX S1-12D1 for maximum pressure. What should the box look like? The element works in a closed or ported box - it's simply up to you.
