Description
Plastigage, wax strips for measuring bearing play in engines etc.
You place a strip of plastigage on the bearing journal where you want to measure the play.
Tighten the cap with the torque that should be without disturbing the position.
Dismantle the cap and measure how much wax has been pressed in.
There is a dipstick with each wax strip and you can see what bearing play you have.
Contains:
1 Red (play 002 in. to .006 in.).
2 Green (play 001 in. to .003 in.).
There is also a measuring table for metric play 0.025-0.229 mm.
