Victron Blue Smart IP65 12v 15A. Battery charger with Bluetooth built-in!

This way you can see the information from the charger on your smartphone, tablet or computer using the VictronConnect app. The charger has two current modes 15A and 4A. The 4A mode is activated by holding down the mode button until the LED indicator for the selected mode starts flashing.

Ultra-high efficiency “green” battery chargers:

With up to 95% efficiency, these chargers generate up to four

times less heat compared to the industry standard. And once

the battery is fully charged, power consumption drops to 0.5 watts,

about five to ten times better than the industry standard.

Durable, safe and quiet:

- Low thermal load on electronic components.

- Protection against dust, water and chemical ingress.

- Protection against overheating: the output current is reduced when

 the temperature increases up to 60 °C but the charger continues to operate.

- The chargers are completely silent: no cooling fan or other moving parts.

Reconditioning:

A lead-acid battery that has been insufficiently charged or that has been

discharged for days or weeks will deteriorate due to

sulfation. If detected in time, sulfation can sometimes be partially

repaired by charging the battery with low current up to a higher

voltage.

Recovery function for completely discharged batteries:

Most chargers with reverse polarity protection do not detect

a battery that has been completely discharged or close to zero volts and therefore do not charge

the battery. However, the Blue Smart IP65 charger will attempt to

charge a fully discharged battery with low current and resume

normal charging once sufficient voltage has been reached across

the battery terminals.

Storage Mode:

Less corrosion on the positive plates

Also, the lower float charge voltage, which follows the

absorption period, causes grid corrosion. It is therefore important

to reduce the charging voltage even further when the battery remains

connected to the charger for more than 48 hours.

Temperature-compensated charging:

The optimal charging voltage in a lead-acid battery varies

inversely with temperature. The Blue Smart IP65 charger measures

the ambient temperature during the test phase and compensates for

the temperature during the charging process. The temperature is measured again

when the charger is set to low current during float or storage.

Therefore, special settings for cold or hot environments

are not required.

Lithium-ion battery mode:

The Blue Smart IP65 charger uses a specific charging algorithm

for lithium-ion batteries (LiFePO4), with automatic lithium-ion under

voltage protection reset
