2 Pinned Crank hub for M2 M3 M4 with S55 engine. The kit comes with a 1-piece Crank hub, drill, drill jig and a collection cup for drill chips if the drilling is done with the chest cover mounted.
A known phenomenon on BMW's S55 engine is that the bolt for the pulley on the crankshaft comes loose and the three-part hub on the crankshaft where the cam drive and oil pump are located, the gears turn which causes a distorted relationship between the camshafts and the crank, and in the worst case an engine failure.
This replaces the entire lower hub with a completely solid part, instead of the split model that is on the original S55 engine.
Drill and drill jig where you drill 2 holes in the crankshaft for extra fixation. There are many good videos on YouTube showing how this is done.
If you are the type who drives a lot on the track, or really hard with your S55 engine, this crank hub is an absolute must.
