Crank hub capture plate S55/N55
Description
Crank hub capture plate for BMW S55 and N55 engines. Made of T-6061 billet aluminum
Supplied with M8x30 10.9 bolts and genuine Nord-Lock washers!
Tighten with 35NM and loctite medium on the screws.
A known phenomenon on BMW's S55 engine, among others, is that the bolt for the pulley on the crankshaft comes loose and the three-part hub on the crankshaft where the cam drive is located turns, which causes a distorted relationship between the camshafts and the crank, and in the worst case an engine failure.
This solution is bolted on and locks the center bolt and prevents it from coming loose.
A Crank hub plate can be mounted in place from below.
A must if you are going to get more power out of your S55 engine that is in F80 M3 /M4 or M2 Competition, or N55 in 335i.
