GAS MAD A2-85.4 is a powerful and impressive 4-channel power amplifier! This power amplifier is excellent for both large and small projects. Better than ever

The MAD A2 series replaces the best-selling PRO and PRO POWER series. The starting point has been to produce a power amp that impresses on all fronts, especially when it comes to the price tag. In terms of appearance, the power amps are closer to the MAD A1, but here GAS has also creamed out more power. Another addition is better components on the preamp section, which contributes to an improved sound. There are advantages beyond a nice exterior - it also ensures optimal cooling for the best possible performance!

The power amp that overdelivers

Overheating is a thing of the past, and you can listen to your music without interruption. Compared to the MAD A1, the cooling of the amp has also been optimized thanks to a heatsink with a larger area, and the side and bottom plates have a large number of ventilation holes. The side panels are also higher than the heatsink itself, which means that an air gap is formed under the amp and air can circulate through the amp more easily.

Get your sound in order

GAS puts safety first and has therefore implemented both a built-in clip indicator and a smart protect function. When the distortion in the input signal exceeds 1%, the clip indicator starts flashing orange. If the distortion increases further, the amp goes into protect.

Bass, midbass or treble - MAD A2 solves it

Real sound magic happens when the crossover is set correctly. Here, MAD A2 offers a large number of setting options. The built-in crossover filter can be switched off completely in the “Full” position, you can also choose between high-pass or low-pass/bandpass filtering - the latter is very useful if you intend to drive midbass on the power amplifier and want to get more out of the elements.

The high-pass filter is adjustable between 15-4,000 Hz. The low-pass filter is adjustable between 50-4,000 Hz. The bandpass filtering combines high and low-pass, and is therefore adjustable between 15-4,000 Hz. Really handy!

Puts safety first

It can be a bit tricky to connect power amplifiers. There is a lot to think about when connecting them. You should find a good ground point, maybe run cables through the car and connect the speaker drivers correctly. Should something go wrong along the way, GAS has implemented advanced protection circuits that minimize the risk of DC, thermal, overload and short circuit problems. The idea is that you should be able to enjoy your favorite music completely worry-free!
